Committee Members of the INA Council discuss and vote on names for a wide range of locations in the Star Citizen™ universe. Location names are selected by a Simple Majority among Committee Members. Advisory Members appoint Committee Members for one-year terms and are considered for reelection every year. Applications are considered based on background knowledge in Star Citizen™ lore and gameplay experience.

Each participating institution is allowed to appoint one representative to serve as Advisory Member on the INA Council. Advisory Member vote in and provide guidance to Committee Members. Location names selected by the Committee Members become official if not rejected by a Super Majority (two-thirds vote) among Advisory Members. All official names are binding and have to be implemented by participating institutions.
